Day 53 - Read Acts 3-4

Peter and John were entering the temple for prayer when a crippled beggar asked them for money. Peter told him they did not have silver or gold and told the man to rise and walk. Peter took the man’s right hand and the man stood and walked, then entered the temple leaping and praising God. Peter explained the man was healed by the name of Jesus. Peter called the crowd to repent and about five thousand men believed. Peter and John were arrested and questioned by the council. They were ordered not to speak about Jesus, but Peter and John told them of the power of Jesus and how He fulfilled prophesy. They continued to speak with boldness. Believers had everything in common and provided for the needs of one another.
