Day 41 - Read John 5

Many sick people gathered in and around a pool by one of the gates of the city of Jerusalem to be healed. Jesus healed a man who had been disabled for thirty-eight years. Jesus told the man to pick up his bed and walk. The Jews then condemned the man for doing “work” on the Sabbath. They also condemned Jesus for healing on the Sabbath. Jesus claimed to be the Son of the Father and that He was able to save those who would hear and believe His words. The miracles Jesus performed bore a strong witness of His authority, but many would still not believe. They sought the glory of man instead of the glory of God.
