Day 43 - Read John 7-8

The Feast of Booths celebrated provisions for God’s people during the journey from Egypt to the promised land, and continued provisions. They built temporary booths (huts) on their roofs and stayed in them for seven days to celebrate. Jesus participated in the feast, then went to the temple to teach. The Pharisees were perplexed by the authority of His words. A woman guilty of adultery was brought to Jesus to test Him. He confronted their sin and they left. He commanded the woman to leave and sin no more. Jesus continued teaching that He was the light. He hid Himself again because it was not yet time for Him to die.
