Day 45 - Read John 11

Mary and Martha sent word to Jesus that their brother Lazarus was sick. Jesus replied to them that his illness would be to the glory of God. Jesus delayed going to Judea to see Lazarus. When Jesus was ready to go, the disciples became concerned that the Jews would find Jesus and kill Him. When Jesus arrived, Lazarus had died, and Jesus wept. Jesus explained to Martha that He was the resurrection and the life, Martha confessed Him as the Christ, and Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead. Some of the witnesses became believers that day, but the chief priests and Pharisees met with the Council and prepared a plan to arrest Jesus.
