Day 141 - Read 1 Samuel 22-23
Sep 11, 2024
David fled from Saul and gathered with his family and with others who were in distress. Saul was told that Ahimelech, a priest at Nob, gave David provisions and the sword of Goliath. Saul put the priests and all the people, along with their ox, donkey, and sheep to death. Abiathar escaped and went to David to tell him what had occurred. David told Abiathar to stay with him and he would be safeguarded. David obeyed God’s command to fight against the Philistines and save the city of Keilah from being oppressed by the Philistines. Saul received word that David was at Keilah and attempted to trap him, but David escaped. Saul continued to pursue David. God was with David, and Jonathan continued to inform him of Saul’s actions against him.
