Day 184 - Read 1 Chronicles 3-4

We continue with genealogy in chapter three and four. Chapter three recalls the descendants of David to the coming of the Messiah, and his successors up to the Babylonian captivity. David’s son Daniel is known by the name Chileab in 2 Samuel 3:3. Being known by two names was common in this culture. Chapter four documents the descendants of Judah, the extending of its boarders, the descendants of Simeon, and the conquest of the Amalekites.
