Chapter seven gives an account of the genealogies of the tribes of Issachar, Benjamin, Manasseh, Ephraim, and of Asher. The genealogies of the tribes of Dan and Zebulun are not given. Chapter eight recounts the genealogy of the tribe of Benjamin, giving us more detail and explanation of the descendants, including Saul and his son Jonathan.
