Day 211 - Read Ezra 2-3

The servants of the house of the Lord were numbered, and the people of Israel returned to their hometowns from Babylon where they had been in exile. They made offerings as each one was able toward the rebuilding of the house of the Lord. The people of Israel gathered in Jerusalem, and the altar was rebuilt. Burnt offerings were presented to the Lord and Israel kept the feasts according to the word of the Lord. The people gave money and met the needs of those who prepared to build the house of the Lord. The foundation of the house of the Lord was laid. They blew horns and crashed cymbals, sang aloud, and celebrated with joy.
