Day 117 - Read Judges 1-2

God instructed Judah to lead the continued conquest of the promised land. God delayed portions of the land from being conquered by Joshua to test the faithfulness of Israel. Following the death of Joshua, Israel chose to turn from God to worship other gods (Baals) and the people they were instructed to destroy became a thorn to Israel. God raised up judges to lead Israel and to restore them. The people turned away from God without the presence of judges that were installed by God.
