Day 262 - Read Psalm 73-74
Jan 10, 2025
Chapter seventy-three is a psalm of Asaph, a poet and a prophet. He wrote that God was his portion and the strength of his heart. He struggled with the prosperity of the wicked, but his thinking was cleared when he entered the sanctuary of God. He was tempted but did not give in to the ways of the wicked. He realized the error of their ways and their eventual ruin. Chapter seventy-four is a cry to God, asking why He allowed the enemies of His people to prosper. He asked God how long He would withhold His hand from destroying them. He then praised God the creator and remembered His power and deeds. He asked God to defend His people and His cause.
