Day 63 - Read Leviticus 23-24

God appointed feasts and assemblies of the Lord. The first assembly is the weekly recognition of the Sabbath, or the day of rest. Instructions were given for recognizing the annual feasts of Passover, the Feast of Unleavened Bread, the Feast of First fruits, the Feast of Weeks (Pentecost), the Feast of Trumpets, the Day of Atonement, and the Feast of Booths (Tabernacles). God instructed Moses on the elements of the tabernacle. He continued teaching Israel the importance of honoring God as a just God. He taught Israel about justice and punishment for sin, preparing us to understand the depth of our sin and the need of a payment.
