Day 151 - Read 2 Samuel 11-12

Sep 21, 2024

David sent his armies to battle while he remained home. He opened himself to temptation and acted on his desire to sleep with a married woman named Bathsheba, and she became pregnant. David attempted to hide his sin by calling her husband Uriah home to sleep with his wife and believe he and his wife conceived the child together. Uriah remained faithful to David and refused to go to his own home. David sent Uriah back to battle and put Uriah in a position to be killed by the enemy. David took Bathsheba as his wife, and she bore him a son. Nathan rebuked David because of his sin. The son died. Bathsheba bore David another son named Solomon. David conquered Rabbah and took the crown of their king.
