Day 254 - Read Psalm 45-48

The forty-fifth psalm describes the greatness of God, the future Messiah, and the church which is the bride of Christ. God’s kingdom and His throne is forever. He has favored His Son and His bride (the church) will remain. Psalm forty-six is a song that describes God as a refuge and stronghold, and a very real and present help when His children are in need. He is a safe harbor for His children. Chapter forty-seven proclaims God as the King over all the earth. The God of Abraham is the “Most High”. Chapter forty-eight is a song praising God for Mount Zion and God’s victory over the enemies of Israel. Zion is a name referring to Jerusalem.
