Day 3 - Read Genesis 5-6

Chapter five documents the lineage of Adam to Noah and his three sons, Shem, Ham, and Japheth. God created man in His likeness. Mankind multiplied and became corrupt. God reduced man’s lifespan on earth. Men of God began to lust after the daughters of worldly men. Men who were giants and were known from years past were living in these days. The thoughts of men’s hearts were evil. God chose to end all flesh by flooding the earth. God provided an escape to a righteous man named Noah, his wife, his sons, his sons’ wives, and two of every sort of living flesh (one male and one female). God ordered Noah to build an ark to be used to escape the flood. Noah did as God commanded.
