Day 284 - Read Psalm 142-145

David cried out to the Lord when he was in hiding from his enemy. He trusted the Lord to deliver him and to deal graciously with him. The Lord was his refuge. David recognized his soul’s need for the Lord. His call to the Lord was more than a desire for personal gain. He voiced his willingness to follow the Lord and to serve Him. David praised the Lord and asked for blessings on those who served Him. We end our reading today with Psalm 145, a song of praise written by David. The Lord’s power and faithfulness are praised. We are reminded of the justice of the Lord toward those who are wicked and the blessings of those who serve the Lord.
