Day 319 - Read Isaiah 28-29

Judgement was prophesied against God’s people because they were overcome with wine and would not listen to the Word of the Lord. Their destruction was described as overwhelming and quick. God’s people will have the opportunity to turn from their sin and be saved, but His judgement will not be turned from the one who is disobedient and deaf to the Word of the Lord. The enemies of Jerusalem destroy the city, but they are dismayed. The so-called worshipers are exposed to be hypocrites who follow the way of man instead of the way of the Lord. The gentiles will benefit from the gospel. Hope is given to the seed of Abraham and Jacob.
