Day 144 - Read 1 Samuel 28-29

The Philistines gathered to fight Israel. Saul was afraid when he saw the Philistine army. He sought God but did not receive an answer. He went to a medium at night and asked her to bring the spirit of Samuel. Saul asked Samuel for direction. Samuel told Saul that God had torn the kingdom out of his hand and had given it to David as He promised. The Philistine leaders were not pleased that David marched with them to war against Israel. They demanded that their king, Achish, send him and his army back to the land that had been given to him. The king told David to return to his land the next morning. David did as he was told by the king.
