Day 74 - Read Numbers 14:1 - 15:21

Jul 6, 2024

Israel grumbled against Moses, Aaron, and the Lord. Caleb and Joshua told Israel the promised land was good, and God would give it to them if He delighted in them. God threatened to destroy Israel because of their disbelief. Moses prayed to God on their behalf and God showed mercy. Of that generation, only Caleb and Joshua would remain alive to see the promised land. The children of Israel would be shepherds in the wilderness for forty years (one year for each day the spies were gone) before Israel would enter the promised land. Israel was disobedient to God. As a result, they were defeated by the Amalekites and the Canaanites. God gave Moses laws concerning sacrifices to be given in the land He would give them.
