Day 282 - Read Psalm 135-137

The psalmist called the Lord’s people to praise Him and recognize all He had done. Those who turn to idols become like them. They will not be useful to the Lord, and they will not experience His blessings. The Lord’s steadfast love endures forever. He deserves praise and thanksgiving, for He has made all things, and all things are at His will. He has fulfilled His promises to His people. The psalmist remembered the days of defeat and the time of being in a foreign land, longing to praise the Lord in His chosen city. He looked to a day of vindication for God’s people.
