Day 291 - Read Proverbs 11-12

Solomon praised righteousness and warned those who would put their faith in earthly riches. He praised the trustworthy neighbor and commended the one who seeks wise counsel. Solomon warned against lust and artificial beauty. The righteous will be blessed, and the wicked will experience troubles and strife. The wise man works and disciplines himself in knowledge and good deeds. His thoughts are righteous, but the thoughts of the wicked are twisted and despised. Truth endures while deceit is for a moment. The wicked lead others from truth and righteousness.
