Day 202 - Read 2 Chronicles 16-18
Nov 11, 2024
Asa asked the king of Syria to help him conquer Israel. The Lord was not pleased because he did not place his faith in the Lord for help. Asa refused to humble himself before the Lord. He was diseased in his feet and died in the forty-first year of his reign. Jehoshaphat reigned in his place. Jehoshaphat sought God, and the Lord blessed him and made his name great among the people. The king of Israel asked Jehoshaphat to go with him to battle Ramoth-gilead. They sought the prophets, and all but one prophesied success. Micaiah prophesied failure, so the king of Israel had him put in jail with meager rations. The king of Israel tried to disguise himself in battle to prevent them from targeting him, but he was killed during the battle.
