Day 201 - Read 2 Chronicles 13-15
Nov 10, 2024
There was war between Abijah (Judah) and Jeroboam (Israel). Abijah had 400,000 chosen men and Jeroboam had 800,000 chosen men. Abijah’s men killed 500,000 of Jeroboam’s men and Abijah took cities from Jeroboam. The Lord struck Jeroboam down and he died. Abijah grew more powerful until he died, then his son Asa reigned in his place. He honored God and removed other idols of worship. Zerah led an army of one million Ethiopians against Asa and his men. Asa cried out to the Lord and the Lord defeated the Ethiopians. Asa and his men killed all the Ethiopians. Asa offered sacrifices to the Lord and Judah experienced peace until the thirty-fifth year of Asa’s reign.
