Day 60 - Read Acts 14-15
Feb 1, 2024
Some in Iconium believed the message of Paul and Barnabas, but others sought to persecute them. They fled to Lycaonia and continued preaching. Some believed Paul and Barnabas were gods. Paul and Barnabas explained they were men and pointed the crowd to God, the creator of all things. Paul was stoned at Lystra, but he continued to preach. Paul and Barnabas returned to Antioch and strengthened the disciples. Pharisees in Jerusalem attempted to hold Gentiles to the Law for salvation. Peter, Paul, and Barnabas proclaimed salvation by the grace of the Lord Jesus. The council at Jerusalem sent a letter to Gentile believers to encourage them, to condemn the message of the Pharisees, and to support the message of grace.
