Day 275 - Read Psalm 111-115

The psalmist was reminded of the faithfulness and glory of the Lord. The fear (respect and reverence) of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. Those who fear the Lord are obedient and steadfast toward His commands, and he will be blessed. The Lord’s people are called to praise Him in all things, and all times. The Lord will exalt those who humble themselves before Him in praise. The psalmist reminded the reader of God’s deliverance of Israel from Egypt in chapter 114. The words continue are very descriptive, reminding us that the psalms are poetry and song. The writer contrasted the Lord’s power and greatness in chapter 115 with idols built by man. The Lord alone is worthy of praise and honor.
