Day 352 - Read Jeremiah 34-35

The Lord proclaimed judgement against Judah for not honoring the covenant made with Him. Zedekiah, king of Judah would be taken into captivity by Babylon because of being unfaithful to the Lord. Jehonadab, son of Rechab, is mentioned here and in 2 Kings 10. His household was faithful to the commands of God and to the commands of their fathers, but the house of Judah was not faithful to the Lord. The house of Rechab was promised blessings for honoring the Lord while the house of Judah was promised judgement for turning from the Lord.
