Day 25 – Read Luke 5-6

Simon Peter, James, and John witnessed Jesus performing a miracle and immediately followed Him. Jesus said they would become fishers of men. Jesus continued healing the sick and the Pharisees and scribes sought to discredit Him. They accused Him of blasphemy for claiming to forgive sins, questioned Him concerning fasting, and accused Him of not keeping the Sabbath. God blesses those who suffer for the gospel and remain hungry for God. One who seeks fulfillment apart from God will suffer. We must love as God has loved us and not judge others. A foundation built upon God is firm, and all others will crumble.
