Day 65 - Read Acts 22-23
Feb 6, 2024
Paul shared his testimony of how Jesus confronted him, while he traveled the road to Damascus, for persecuting the church. The crowd shouted for him to be put to death. As they were preparing him to be flogged and questioned, Paul explained he was a Roman citizen. The religious leaders were eager to kill him, but the governing officials were concerned because of his citizenship. The Pharisees and Sadducees were divided, and some of the Jews made an oath not to eat until they killed Paul. The plot was discovered by Paul’s nephew and told to the governing rulers. Soldiers were ordered to take Paul to Felix (governor) with a letter explaining his Roman citizen and explaining he had not been found guilty of anything deserving death.
