Day 58 - Read Acts 10-11

An angel told Cornelius in a vision to send messengers for Peter. While Peter was praying intently, God showed him a vision that God did not show partiality, but all who believe would be saved. Peter went with the messengers. Peter preached the gospel to the gentiles, and they were saved and received the Holy Spirit and began speaking as the Holy Spirit led them. The apostles questioned Peter because he preached to the gentiles. Peter explained his vision and God’s work through the Holy Spirit. The apostles knew God would offer salvation to the gentiles. Those who had been scattered spread the gospel and many came to know Jesus as Savior. Believers continued to help others as there was need.
