Day 76 - Read Numbers 17-18

God told Moses to have the head of each tribe provide a staff to be presented in the tent of testimony for God to give a sign to the people. The sign would show the people that Aaron and his descendants were chosen to represent the people before God as priests, and that the Levites were chosen to serve the needs of the tabernacle. God explained the duties of the priests and of the Levites. He gave them both a means for food and for other provisions through the offerings of Israel. The priests and the Levites were required to follow God’s instruction for receiving food and funds or die.
