Church Group: Night One

Consider starting with some general questions about how things are going.

• Ask about what everyone’s favorite part of the day was.

• “High’s/Low’s” is always a good framework to use. “What was a HIGH today? What was a LOW”?

• Be prepared to share your answers, as well.

Then, consider asking about any impressions from tonight’s time of worship. (You’ll repeat this framework, generally speaking, every Church Group Time.)

• What was your favorite element of worship tonight?

• Was there a specific song, video, or sketch that resonated with you?

• What were some points made or truths revealed tonight that spoke to you?

• Can you name one takeaway from tonight? One thing you feel like God is leading you to put into action?

If you want, consider asking some questions related to the content of the day’s Village Gathering. Use the following questions or come up with your own:

• When you think about giving up control in your life, what kind of feelings do you have? Fear? Excitement? Relief? Why might you be responding this way?

• What are some things that you struggle to fully surrender to God?

• Do you believe that God is calling you to Total Surrender? What would that look like in your life?

• How has God redefined what it means for you to surrender? How is surrendering to Him different than surrendering to the things of the world?
